1.       Teacher Salaries

          Teacher A            $30,000 : 50%C, 20%L

          Teacher B            $31,240 : 25%C, 75%L

          Teacher C           $22,000 :   0%C, 50%L

          Teacher D           $30,000 : 10%C, 60%L

          Supervisor           $38,000 : 25%C, 25%L

2.       Equipment

a.                 Projector - $650 : max, depreciation/year

b.                 Simulation System - $45,000 : 20% depreciation/year

c.                 Walkie-talkie system - $850 : max. depreciation/year

d.                 Automobile for Emergency Maneuvers - $16,500 : max. depreciation/year

e.                 Other classroom equipment - $925 : max. depreciation/year

f.                   Rental of paint machine - $65

3.       Maintenance

a.                 Janitorial service of driver education classroom and range building - $1,500 : $900C, $600L

b.                 Service contract with Aetna - $1000

c.                 Repairs to three cars - $400

4.       Operating

a.                 Gasoline for 4 cars – total of 12,000 miles at 10 miles/gal with gas at $1.50/gal

b.                 Two new top signs for cars - $110

c.                 New portable magnetic board - $5

d.                 Moveable chalkboard for range building - $75

e.                 Repainting of range – paint, 8 gallons at $9.50/gal.

f.                   Re-surfacing of tables in classroom - $40

5.       Insurance

a.                 Collision insurance for 4 cars at $350/car

b.                 Liability Insurance for cars at $175/car

6.       Instructional

a.                 10 reams of paper at $8.00/ream

b.                 Other paper, pens, etc, - $146.50

c.                 Twenty-five copies of 6^th edition of Let’s Drive Right at $7.52/copy

7.       Special Construction

a.                 New addition to range – 50 ft. x 175 ft. area

Total cost $142,000 including filling, grading and laying of asphalt: max. depreciation/year

8.       In-Service Education – figure on 50 percent classroom/50 percent laboratory basis

a.                 4 teachers went to Fall Driver Education Workshop – paid for IHSCDEA dues at $20.00/teacher plus $18.00/teacher for luncheon.

b.                 2 teachers went to IHSCDEA Annual Convention at Peoria, Illinois during May.  Paid for travel for one car at $.32/mile for 550 miles round trip.  Two hotel rooms at $60.00 each for one day.  Finally $30.00/teacher for food.

There were 40 hours of classroom with 8 hours of simulation, 4 hours of range, and 2 hours of on-road instruction.
