These
are all TRUE and FALSE questions.
Please answer all questions. For

Name
1. A police officer can legally instruct a
motorist to disobey a traffic control device.
2. A pedestrian is prohibited by law from
crossing a street against a red traffic signal.
3. The rules that apply to a stop sign are the
same as those that apply to a flashing red traffic signal light.
4. A driver involved in a crash must show his
drivers license to the other motorist if the other motorist asks to see it.
5. A driver who collides with an object legally
placed next to the road must report the crash to the police.
6. A driver who reports a fatal crash to the
local police, must also report it to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
7. The owner of a motor vehicle may be ticketed
if he/she knowingly permits a person under the influence of alcohol or other
drug to drive his,' her motor vehicle.
8. It is possible to be ticketed for driving
too slow.
9. A passenger vehicle polling another car or
trailer cannot legally driver faster than 55 mph.
10. A
driver about to be passed on a two-lane road must slow down if the driver who
wishes to pass sounds his/her horn.
11. A
driver may over take and pass another vehicle on the right where there are two
or more travel lanes in each direction.
12. A
driver may overtake and pass on the right of another vehicle by driving off
onto the shoulder of the road, if the other driver is stopped to make a left
turn.
13. On
a three-lane highway a driver must always make a left turn from the center
lane.
14. On
a two way street, a left turn must be made from the right half of the roadway
nearest the centerline.
15.
Every ne2 motor vehicle driven on a public roadway must be equipped with
electric turn signals.
16. The
hand signals for stopping, is the hand and arm extended down to the left.
17. A
driver about to enter a highway from a private driveway must come to a stop
before entering the highway.

Drivers of all non-emergency vehicles on a multi-lane roadway, upon hearing the

least 10O feet behind the bus.

a non-divided highway, drivers approaching the front of a school bus stopped to
load or unload passengers, must come to a stop and then pass the bus
cautiously.
